Centrally located just 30 minutes from Malaga airport & within easy reach of the coast Finca Armonia is the perfect place for women travelling solo, or with friends, who wish to have a different kind of holiday and an experience of real Spain.

Enjoying an idyllic rural situation among the orange groves of the Guadalhorce Valley and just 5 minutes drive from the centre of Alhaurin el Grande, a typical Andalucian Pueblo Blanco (white village), Finca Armonia is ideal for those seeking a genuinely comfortable place to relax and unwind.

There are two comfortable & spacious, self-catering apartments situated in their own cottage separated from the main house by the swimming pool. Both have wonderful mountain views from their private terraces.

As well as being the perfect place to 'get away from it all' in the warm Andalucian sunshine, Finca Armonia is also a central location from which to explore. The area is good for walking, cycling, horse riding and provides the golfer with a good choice of golf courses. It is also within easy reach of the cathedral city of Malaga, Granada with the Alhambra Palace, the ancient town of Ronda and the stunning scenery at El Torcal near Antequerra.

Finca Armonia is the home of Jane Young, co-founder and Trustee of the Women for a Change International Foundation. She invites her guests to consider the finca home for the duration of their stay. Jane is almost always on hand to give advice or assistance.

While it is recommended that guests hire a car there are always those who wish to make their holiday into a retreat and prefer not to do so. Trips can be arranged to places of interest - also journeys into town for shopping. You can also arrange transfers from and to Malaga airport.

Jane says, "Being a woman on my own I realised that it is difficult for women travelling alone, or with friends, to find somewhere sympathetic to stay. Many women don't want to stay in big hotels, or holiday complexes, and hiring a villa is impractical.

Since my partner John died 3 years ago many wonderful women friends have stayed with me at Finca Armonia. All have said what a lovely place it is and how it's a perfect place for women's holidays. With this in mind I decided to open the doors to a wider audience.

Please don't expect luxury. The accommodation is simple and comfortable, the swimming pool is warm in summer, not so in spring and autumn - unless you're brave! The outdoor kitchen/barbecue is there for everyone to use and share, my dogs roam freely in the garden and enjoy having guests here in case they'd like to play. It's lovely to sit in the evenings and enjoy the sunsets and the crickets whilst sharing a bottle of wine and some food - we all bring something to the table - unless of course you wish to sit peacefully on your own terrace and enjoy the sunsets. Everything flows naturally as and how it happens. I love living here and I am grateful to be able to share the finca with others. I look forward to sharing it with you."
